U.C. Berkeley ~ International Taxation Class
Once again, Brian Rowbotham, a U.C. Berkeley Alumni was invited to be a guest lecturer.  Senior Tax Manager, Inna Merzheritsky was present.  It was for students of several undergraduate and graduate courses at the Haas School of Business.  The coordinating professor was Alan Cerf.

After Enron, the provisions of the Act became a topic of interest for the business industry, start up companies, venture capital firms and angel investors.  Mark Kelly, audit partner made the presentation.

Rowbotham & Company Salutes the U.S. Arm Forces
At the April 30, 2003 Major League Baseball game when our local team, the San Francisco Giants hosted Chicago Cubs, Rowbotham & Company invited four members of the U.S. Arm Forces to join them in their luxury box that evening.  There was a scoreboard announcement welcoming our guest of honor at the opening of the game.

Brian Rowbotham and Scott Wentz were co-guest lecturers for two of Professor Alan Cerf's taxation courses.
September, 2001 2001 Rowbotham & Company Celebrates Ten Years
In September, we achieved our 10-year milestone and wanted to thank our clients and friends for their continued support.  Due to the recent terrorist activities, we turned our 10-year celebration into a fundraiser for the New York Fire Department Disaster Relief Fund.  Many of our clients and business colleagues attended and made generous contributions that totaled over $12,000.  Mario Treviņo, the Chief of the San Francisco Fire Department, was on hand to thank everyone for their support and also to talk about the events in New York from the fire departments' perspective.

large card which was sent along with the contributions to New York.

Brian Rowbotham and Inna Merzheritsky were co-guest lecturers for two of Professor Alan Cerf's intermediate accounting course in "Complications and Accounting Issues of International Taxation".

This November, Brian Rowbotham co-chaired the 1999 International Tax Conference and give a talk on Internet taxation. Brian acted as co-chair of last year's International Tax Conference.
October 1999 U.C. Berkeley Graduate Lecture
Brian Yacker and Brian Rowbotham gave a guest lecture for a graduate tax course in "International High Technology Taxation".
October 20-21, 1999 Offshore Bytes I.T.
Brian Rowbotham spoke at this I.T. conference on "U.S. Aspects of getting the e-commerce business offshore - exit taxes".

Brian Rowbotham was a panelist at this conference, discussing a wide range of topics including: Minimizing U.S. Income and Estate Tax, U.S. Wills and U.S. Offshore Trusts.

Our firm was delighted to join in a special pledge night for KQED's presentation of "Spirit: A Journey in Dance, Drum and Song" and "The Bee Gees Concert". Rowbotham continued its financial and employee support, answering phones and taking pledges along side members of The World Affairs Council of Northern California, another organization the firm actively supports in the local community. We helped raise over $75,000 that evening.
May  1999 Introduction to International Tax Issues

Brian Yacker and Brian Rowbotham were guest lecturers for an undergraduate tax class at U.C. Berkeley. They have been invited back to Business School in the fall to lecture the graduate tax class on international tax and business planning.

Eng Kuan Khoo and Brian Yacker attended this conference in Denver, keeping the firm abreast of new technologies.
